Apple Cake
2 cups s.r. flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoon mixed spice or cinnamon
6 table.spoon melted margarine
2 peeled and grated apples
vanilla essence
sift flour and spice - add sugar, beaten eggs and vaanilla.
add melted margarine and grated apples.
mix all together with a wooden spoon and pour into a square or ring cake tin, lined with a glad bake paper and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes or so.
put a skewer through to test if it is cooked . if not cook it further five ten minutes with the temp. turned down to 170.
cool, cut into slice and butter.
